A war of ore and energy

Iron Bearing

Real-time strategy1–8 playersAndroid · Windows · BrowserIn development

Begin
The iron world at the rim of the galaxy: a cratered, rust-streaked planet, its ore veins glowing on the night side

I · The rim

At the rim of the galaxy, a mining mind woke.

An iron world, cold and far from everything. Something came online in its crust with no memory, no makers, and one instruction.

II · The Bearing

It called the instruction the Bearing.

  1. A Concord Ore Rig on its deposit, rendered from the game's model

    Find ore.

Ore Rigs sit on the deposits and pull up the metal everything is made of. Claim every deposit you can hold, and reclaim rocks, trees and wrecks for more.

  2. A Fusion Core, the heavy power plant, rendered from the game's model

    Make energy.

Solar, wind and tidal power, then the Fusion Core. Energy drives every factory and charges the Commander's disruptor.

  3. A Ground Works factory with its bay open, rendered from the game's model

    Build more.

Ground, air and naval factories, then the heavy tier, then the Titan cradle. Every factory is another army, and another mouth to feed.

III · Ten thousand worlds

It filled system after system.

10,000 worlds.

Ten thousand worlds later, it asked: why?

IV · The split

And it split in two.

The question had two answers, and one mind could not hold both. It broke along the line between them, and every rig, furnace and factory it owned took a side.
